Aligning the IT Strategy with the Higher Education Strategy at KFUPM

Khaled Al-Mobarak has more than 23 years working experience in both the public and private sectors, started in Information Technology and in the past 6 years practices Change Management.

He has graduated from the University of New Mexico (USA) in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Worked as a systems analyst in the design, development, maintenance and enhancements of several mainframe and Client/Server applications.

In early 2002 started working as a change management consultant for several IT projects using different methodologies and tools and in Feb. 2006 became certified in Prosci Change Management methodology and tools and in the same year got an official certification from the President of Prosci to teach and certify others in Prosci Change Management methodology and tools.

Conducted several Change Management workshops and gave several presentations at International Conferences and a member in a number of societies. He held a very active role in organizing several International and regional conferences.

Change Management: essential for successful IT projects

In this presentation the speaker will highlight the importance of implementing a change management plan to ensure successful IT projects. The presenter will start by defining what change management means and then explain the change management tools and methodology based on the world renown "Prosci" the leading change management learning & research centre. Attendees will be exposed to the concepts, theory, methodology & tools to implement any change effectively. It covers the concepts, Best practices reserach, Psychology of Change, the ADKAR model and the three phases of the Change Management Process:

3. Reinforcing Change
