He has a total of 17 years experience working in Academia and industries. He has around ten years Academic experience working at AUD and the University of New South Wales Sydney Australia, where he taught subjects related to: computer network running at different platform such us Unix/Linux and Windows, network courses supporting different routers and servers, network security, and programming courses in C, C++ and XHTML. He has more than seven year Industrial experience working as a Technical and project leader at International telecommunication companies such Motorola and Sydney Open Telecommunication. He is also working as Principal Security Consultant at ITButler Eservice Australia/Dubai. He is a senior IEEE member, and CCNA and security CISCO academy instructor acting as CISCO curriculum leader at AUD. He published more than 35 articles at international conferences and journals, and attended numerous seminars, forums and workshop. Research Interest includes wireless networking, Network security, high speed networks, and Network protocols.

Scalability and flexibility of the network infrastructure at AUD. Best practice and success factors for a dynamic modern network

This presentation is going to cover topics related the network infrastructure at the American University in Dubai AUD. An overview of AUD and its network infrastructure will be presented. Then main challenges associated with managing and monitoring the network would also be presented. The important challenges are scalability where it addresses the issues of growing the network and how to make it dynamic, vendor and support, security and how to protect university assets, maintainability and support in order guaranty network operation, and data center and availability and how it affects business operation. Finally best practice would be presented to share our success with other organization.
